Why hosting a screening?

This is a prime outreach opportunity! Thousands of people have seen Michael Jr.’s comedy, many more anxiously await the release of this film.

Comedy: The Road Less Traveled motivates people to do something more, to step out of their comfort zone and make a difference in and out of their community. Because the film merges compassion with comedy, TRLT creates a non-threatening opportunity to invite people to church. A portion of the proceeds are going to help people like the ones you meet in the film, you will bless others just by buying a ticket. As a fun activity for the whole family, CTRLT also creates opportunities for teachable moments between parents and their children, pastors and congregations, friends and neighbors.

How do you determine pricing?

The Event Packages are priced according to intended audience size. There are three different price options:
•    $300—for intended audiences of up to 99
•    $400—for intended audiences of 100 – 499
•    $500—for intended audiences of 500 or more

 

When will I receive my package?

You will have access to all promotional materials immediately after signing up to show the film at your location and the actual film with be shipped to you 4 to 6 weeks before the release date on September 3rd.

 

How can I promote the film?

Once your purchase has been processed you will receive a confirmation e-mail with details regarding promotion, down-loadable material, and other tools (bulletin inserts, website banners, power point, media shout slide, trailers, etc.). Other great suggestions: word-of-mouth, social networking and the like. Michael Jr. Entertainment will also be spearheading a marketing campaign that is aimed at driving movie goers to your event.

 

Do I have permission to have the downloadable resources printed by a professional printer?

The Movie Event Site License that was emailed to you after you placed your order gives you permission to reproduce and use all downloadable promotional materials to advertise and promote showings of the Film, however, you are not permitted to make changes to the artwork provided on the promotional materials, other than to add your identity and contact information, and the locations, dates and times of showings of the Film.

 

Do I need a CVLI license to host a Movie Event?

No. The event site license included with our Movie Event Kits grant permission to publicly exhibit the film included in the kit for an unlimited number of showings during its 1-month term. Please note that no other visual media licensing service, such as CVLI or MPCL, can grant you permission to exhibit the purchased film; and consumer DVDs are for private home use only.

 

Can I sell popcorn?

Sure. . . . . . our favorite is movie theater butter flavor.

 

Can I show the film after Oct 30, 2010?

No, the license is only good from September 3, 2010 to October 30, 2010.

 

How many times can we show it?

You may show the film as many times as you want.

 

Can a church across the street play the same film as us?

Yep. They have to sign up for their own event and purchase their own licensing agreement through the CTRLT website.

 

Do we get to keep our copy of the film?

Yes – but you may only broadcast it between September 3, 2010 and October 30, 2010.

 

May I charge admission or sell tickets?

According to the terms of the event site license, you may require payment for admission to showings of the film, provided that the proceeds go to a charity of your choosing.

 

Will DVDs be available for sale?

Yes, Date TBA.

 

Has anyone ever told Michael Jr. that he looks like Dave Chappelle?

Yes. Many, many times.

 

If I pre-ordered the DVD last year, when will I get my copy?

After the general public release (you will get it the same day . . . possibly even a week before). And THANK YOU for being a major part of this documentary production!

 

If I don’t want to host the film, how can I see it?

Go to the website and choose a location nearest you.

 

Why are you releasing it in churches before movie theaters?

Because it’s a road less traveled. By releasing it in this format first, we’re able to donate a large portion of the proceeds to organizations such as the ones you see in the film. We’re extending that opportunity to you as well.

 

Will there be other Road Less Traveled events?

Absolutely – he’s more than likely on the road to one right now!
